various magazines have decided to anounce their top music albums of the year.
I like to go through the list, count how many albums i have on each list to see how in tune i am with each magazine.

having all this music does make me question if i have actually heard it all.
I currently am most in tune with paste magazine. but they are the only ones so far to have Over the rhine in the top 100 so no doubt they would be my favourites.

The other issue is how to list or rate all this music.
do you go for a simple top 10
or top 50

I am toying with the idea of using the system used at the International Mathematical Olympiad, and awarding albums nothing, bronze, silver or Gold awards.
but unsure about the critera for this type of marking system.

Any thoughts?
