The fuse blew twice.
I can't ebven put up a plug.

an electrician came today and put up the light properly.
apartenly from april, under new UK legislation, you aren't allowed to do electrical jobs yourself it has to be a registered electrician who does the work for you.
Well there goes my banging career in electrics then!
